My experience with this product has not been great.
I bought at the £200 price, I was initially very disappointed with the battery charge, when recording in normal mode, I got nothing like the time specifified in the manual for a full charge.
Then, on my 3rd recording, the camcorder developed a fault, with the DVD-RW going round continually when you power on, and there was NOTHINGA i could do to stop it, remove the disk etc, tried everything, including removing batteries.
So I had to send it back. I hope I have not been silly, in asking for a new camcorder rather than a refund, but hope springs eternal.
By the way, my disappointment is with Samsung - amazon were outstanding, not only the good price which everyone notes here, but this is the first return I have made in c 7 years of custom, and I was super-impressed with how easy it is to make a return. First class service

Firsly i bought this camcorder due to the other three reviews hoping that i had made the right choice. Unfortunately i got a camcorder that was defective when recording to dvd. There was a 1mm distorted line at the bottom of the recording. no such line when recording to the memory card, weird. i also found that the picture quality was not up to scratch. maybe i have been spoilt by using a panasonic mini DV prior to buying this but the image was just grainy. like i said maybe i just had a defective unit but thought i would share my views. have returned the unit to amazon for a full refund and have started my hunt again for a good quality camcorder.

been searching over two weeks for something like this with 1megapixel and amzing quality still photo this certainly is the best in its range...and a bargain here at Amazon compared to high street prices...well recommended simple to use too.

Just ordered this camcorder, unbelievable price, had to have it! Try getting it cheaper elsewhere! Argos £329 today! Will write a full review when ready. Looking forward to filming.

ive placed order for Samsung VPDC563 DVD Camcorder looked every where and thought this was a bargain.....other places are far dearer.so looking forward to delivery....when ive used it...i will let u know more.....
received it well before time....brillent camcorder..well worth the money. worth buying
