I have just bought this camera and so far I have been pleased with my purchase. The mixture of a 7 mega-pixel camera and a high definition video camera in one small form factor is just what i was looking for.
It should be said though that I do not see this as my main camera, rather as something I can carry in my pocket while I'm out and about and don't want to lug all my gear with me. For taking stills it is more than adequate with 7 mega-pixels and built in flash. It has several profiles for different environments,(portrait, fireworks, night-shooting, sports). It has automatic or manual exposure and focus and it also has a face tracking feature that I have not tried yet.
As a Video camera it can record at up to 720p which in bright light gives fantastic quality. It does suffer however from having a quite small lens so low light situations become a bit of a problem. I have noticed that in very low light it automatically bumps the ISO up and this gives a quite blocky picture which is a shame as in strong light the picture quality is fantastic. The ISO can be set manually to reduce this effect though. The other problem in low light is that the automatic focus tends to hunt a lot to get a fix. Switching to manual focus helps and this is controlled by the little joystick that is naturally under your thumb as you hold the camera, so it is not that fiddly.
This camera is not going to replace my SLR or my DV camera, but that is not the point. I can slip this in my pocket without really noticing it and can take stills or video whenever I like without having to lug a big camera bag around.

It works but thats about all I can say about it. If you are using it to video very slow moving objects in very bright light then you should be OK. I suggest you save up an extra £300 and buy something that you'll be pleased with.
